Mikayla proudly volunteers frequently for regular queer, arts, and community organizations including:

Mikayla enjoys her career in the voluntary sector. She adores seeing the work she completes directly influence and benefit the community. To kickstart this, she has been involved in boards and community service groups for decades helping in direct service delivery and being a leader in the committees and tasks she oversees. 

Mikayla completed Algonquin College's Fundraising and Donor Relations program with honours and achieved Western University's Professional Certificate in Not-For Profit Management. Currently, she is a student in Carleton University's Graduate Diploma in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Management. Future interests include Human Resources certifications.
